Nature and surroundings

The Argentina Valley is an alpine valley, part of which is situated in the Regional Natural Park of the Ligurian Alps. The Monte Saccarello, with its 2,201 metres above sea level, is the highest mountain in Liguria and dominates the valley from where the Argentina stream flows. Thus, the name of the valley.
For true nature lovers there are many hiking trails that offer enchanting views and pass through the woodlands leading to the peaks, often covered with snow, around the Saccarello mountain. For the sport enthusiasts there are also many mountain bike, downhill and cross-country trails as well as natural rock-climbing walls and crystal-clear waters to swim in during the warmer months.
For those who love to discover beautiful medieval citadels and enjoy peaceful walks along the typical tiny Ligurian alleys – called carrugi – we find ourselves only a couple of kilometres away from Triora, Molini di Triora, Badalucco and Montalto Ligure. In the summer months, the road up to Colle Langan is open and it is possible to drive to the adjacent valley – Val Nervia – that offers the chance to visit many other picturesque villages such as Dolceacqua and Apricale.
