Experiences

We offer cultural exchange experiences, environmental education lessons, workshops and tailormade packages. We are members of the WWOOF program, an educational farm, a social farm and last but not least an environmental hiking guide enabled by the Province of Imperia: we organize guided tours of our farm for children, adults and school groups as well as guided hikes to discover the flora and fauna that represent the real treasure of this territory.

Educational farm

We offer various tours/workshops for children and adolescents of all years.

3. The Brigasca sheep, Occitan culture and the civilization of the shepherd’s huts
4. The ancient Cabannina cow: the grazing, the milking and the processing of milk

These distinct activities, being strictly connected to the seasonality of the rural life, have been purposefully studied to be carried out in different times of the yearbut all year round. Do not hesitate to contact us to learn more about the diversified programs, also according to the age of the children/adolescents.

Social farm

Since November 2017 we are also a social farm of the Liguria Region.
We work with adolescents from mental health centres close to us, with whom we carry out farm work according to the cyclicality of the seasons.
For this, we have obtained the acknowledgment of the regional price Coldiretti “Oscar Green 2017” in the section “AgriYou” that is dedicated to social work.

Environmental hiking guide

We organize guided tours with Matteo, environmental hiking guide, across the infinite trails that lead to discover the most remote and characteristic places, rich with flora and fauna of the Maritime Alps.
It is possible to go on magnificent excursions along the “Via Marenca”, an ancient trade road that once connected the “Pianura Padana” to the Ligurian Sea (as such the name, that translates into road that leads to the sea)or connect to the “Alta Via dei Monti Liguri” (upper road of the Ligurian mountains).
Approximately 30 minutes by foot, we enter, by passing through an animal hunting reserve known as “Labari”, in the Regional Natural Park of the Ligurian Alps, gem of Western Liguria.
There is an infinite variety of wild plants particularly appealing to those interested in nature as well asmuchendemism from the last glacial periods. Here, typical Alpine animals such as the black grouse, white hare, marmot and the chamois find their ideal habitat being this area the most southern of their natural environmental territory.

WWOOFING

WORLD WIDE OPPORTUNITIES ON ORGANIC FARMS – share the daily rural experience in pursuit of a way of living in harmony with nature. WWOOF is an international movement of Social Promotion that links volunteers with organic farmers and growers to encourage cultural and educational experiences based on trust and non-monetary exchanges, helping to build a sustainable global community.

A WWOOF Host is a farmer or grower wishing to host WWOOFers (visitors) and teach them about sustainable agriculture.
